Another Chromebook enters the Google family, as Google has recently unveiled a new Chromebook i.e. the HP Chromebook 11. The HP Chromebook 11 is expected to be the most affordable laptop in the market with impressive specs with a retail price of $279. As far as specs are concerned, the HP Chromebook 11 features an 11.7-inch IPS display, a dual-core Samsung Exynos processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 16 GB solid-state drive and runs on Google Chrome OS (all Chromebook features Chrome OS).
Well, you must have been surprised by 16 GB of storage as its quiet less storage capacity, but not to forget that the Google Chrome OS is basically designed as a cloud-based operating system where most of the operations and media are handled in the cloud. Not only that, on purchasing any of the Chromebook, users get 100 GB free storage on Google Drive (for 2 yrs), 60-day free trial at Google Play Music All Access and 12 free sessions of GoGo in-flight Internet. As per Google’s Caesar Sengupta, the HP Chromebook 11 is also touted as one of the lightest laptops on the market, weighing just 2.3 pounds.
The HP Chromebook 11 also features a full-sized keyboard, a headphone jack and “digitally-tuned speakers located underneath the keyboard with the connectivity features includes Wi-Fi (802.11n) and Bluetooth Smart Ready(4.0). Battery life is rated around six hours, while one of the best thing about the Chromebook is the microUSB port which makes this Google laptop charge with any portable charger. The HP Chromebook is expected to release on October 20.
Its already seen that the Google Chromebook popularity has already been increased in schools in the U.S thereby, accounting 22% of all computers in schools. This means the rise of the popularity will soon increase after the release of the HP Chromebook 11. Stay tuned for more updates.
