Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 14-inch Ultrabook Unveiled [CES 2014]

Lenovo announces another product in the ThinkPad lineup after the recently unveiled ThinkPad 8 tablet, but this time its the 14-inch Ultrabook. Lenovo today unveiled the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook in the CES 2014 which is currently going on Las Vegas. Lenovo claims the third generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon as the world’s lightest 14-inch Ultrabook, which weighs only 2.8pounds and is only 17.7mm thin.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook features a 14-inch WQHD touch display with an impressive resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, along with the display options which comes with a resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels. The tablet as the name suggest is made from carbon Fiber, which is the same material used in aircrafts and racing cars. Powered by a 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon features an 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD onboard storage.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon comes with various technology features that includes the Adaptive Keyboard technology and the Rapid Charging technology. The Adaptive Keyboard technology lets users dynamically adjusts based on the software or application being used to highlight the most relevant keys and the Rapid Charging technology which allow users 80 percent charge in an hour, with a battery life up to 9 hours.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon also comes with the feature of gestures and voice controls to ease the work of user. The X1 Carbon ultrabook also comes with a built-in 4G connectivity and a OneLink Docking solution which reduces clutter, and provides users to get power, gigabit Ethernet and dual display support with the help of single cable.

This Ultrabook will be available in store from late January and will be priced at $1,299 and if you also want to purchase the OneLink Dock Connector, then it is available at a price of $179. Stay tuned for more updates.
