WhatsApp For Nokia Asha 501 Receives A Major Update  v2.12.42It was last year when Nokia’s low-end budget friendly smartphone, Asha 501 received the most desired WhatsApp update and since, then WhatsApp for Asha 501 has received many features and bug fixes. Well, Nokia has recently rolled out a major update for WhatsApp on Nokia Asha 501 bringing new improvements and bug fixes. The WhatsApp for Asha 501 has been updated to v2.12.42.

The new features includes some changes in UI similar to Android devices, users can now tap on contact name or group name in chats for checking contact info just like Android phones, users can now create new Broadcast list to broadcast messages on WhatsApp, Contact’s Display picture appears on top of chats, users can now copy as well as use the same text in chats, settings option now come with more flexibility and some minor bug fixes.

Following are the list of new features in WhatsApp for Asha 501:

  • Minor changes in User interface.
  • Tap on Contact name or group name to check more contact info.
  • Copy as well as paste text during chats.
  • Contact’s display picture appears on top of chat.
  • Setting option now offers more flexibility. For example, after going in setting menu and accounts, user will find privacy options.
  • Bug fixes and improvements.

    I doesn’t liked this last version because the Whatsapp shortcut in pictures share menu has been removed.

    • That’s because the instant sharing slows down the WhatsApp of Asha 501 but they are trying to fix the issue in next update..:)
