Huawei MediaPad X2 Announced With 64-bit Ultra Octa-Core Chipset [MWC 2015]Huawei today launched the MediaPad X2 tablet at MWC 2015 in Barcelona. The MediaPad X2 phablet, successor to the MediaPad X1 features a 7-inch Ultra HD IPS display and comes powered with the world’s first 64-bit ultra octa-core chipset. According to Huawei, the MediaPad X2 is the world’s slimmest 7-inch phablet with thickness of only 7.28mm. The MediaPad X2 design offers a screen-to-body ratio of 80%, which allows user to handle the phablet single-handedly. The Huawei MediaPad X2 has a wide angle spanning up to 178 degrees that ensures optimal visual display even when the device is tilted.

As far as specs are concerned, the Huawei MediaPad X2 features a 7-inch Ultra HD IPS display with resolution of 1200×1920 pixels up to 323ppi and a 2.0GHz Kirin (a series subsidiary of Huawei) 930 ultra-octa chipset which provides a high processing function by consuming less power. The Kirin 360 processor supports 4G LTE Cat 6 connectivity, providing a download speed of up to 300Mbps. The Huawei MediaPad X2 is integrated with 64-bit GPU Mali-T628 and i3 micro-core chips that enhances user experience with strong quality sound, visualization and allow them to play large 3D games.

On the camera side, the MediaPad X2 features a 13MP rear-facing camera which is pretty impressive even in low-light conditions and comes with following features: post-shooting focus adjustment metering mode, focus and exposure metering, and off-screen snapping functionality. On the other side, the MediaPad X2 features 5MP front-facing camera with F2.4 aperture and a wide angle lens of 22mm, which is quiet ideal for selfie lovers and especially you are going with a panoramic shot. It comes with a powerful 5,000mAh Li-Polymer battery which provides enough usage even after one day of heavy use by supporting online video streaming for up to 12 hours, 15 hours of internet surfing or 60 hours of music playing via headphones.

It has a 2.4G dual-Wi-Fi antenna which ensures that it gets stable Wi-Fi reception and connection anytime, anywhere. Dual-MIC reducing noise technology ensures great call quality for business users in all circumstances and scenarios. The Huawei MediaPad X2 will ship with the taste if Android 5.x Lollipop and will be available in two variants:a standard 2G RAM+ 16GROM version in a moonlight silver body and a premium version with a 3G RAM and 32GROM storage option in an amber gold body. However, there are no news on its pricing and availability yet, but you can expect the device  to be around $650+. Stay tuned for more updates.
