Earlier, storage devices with higher capacity used to arrive at a bigger size. But with the growth of technology transformation in memory components, storage devices have started to become more compact and size has been reduced gradually such that a flash drive will now be available with a 2TB storage space. Well, Kingston has arrived with the world’s first highest capacity flash drive, the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT at CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT is a 3-inch USB flash drive with 1TB/2TB storage capacity. It comes with USB 3.0 support, so if you have a USB-C port then you might have to ignore this flash drive for now.
The Kingston 2TB flash drive is made from a zinc-alloy metal casing that not only offers durability, but also can withstand higher sub-zero temperatures all the way down to 40 below zero, and protect your data all the way to up to a toasty 185 degrees Fahrenheit,The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT USB 3.0 flash drive will be out in February 2017. However, the pricing has not been announced yet, but one can expect a higher price for the flash drive with the view of small form factor and whopping storage space. Stay tuned for more updates.
