Innovation is what the Consumer Electronic Show brings every year and this year too CES will be showcasing different innovative gadgets. Well, TwoEyes Tech, a South Korea based Startup has arrived with one such innovative gadget, the TwoEyes VR which will be showcased at this year’s CES 2018.
The TwoEyes VR is a binocular 360-degree field-of-view VR camera with 4K resolution that has been developed to capture images using the two pairs of fisheye lenses similar to the eyes of a human. The TwoEyes VR has been designed by considering the standard distance between human eyes so that the VR images produced mirrors human eye sight. The fisheye lenses used in the TwoTech VR has been arranged 65 mm apart similar to human’s eye, so that VR can produce realistic dimensional images to enjoy 360-degree VR images comfortably.
At a single recording, the VR camera captures 360-degree 3D video that can be viewed on VR headsets, smartphones, laptops and 3D TVs. And not just that user can convert the videos which are in full HD, 3D, and red-cyan mode into 180-degree and 360-degree content, a meaning that a single recording can be converted into six different types of content. The TwoTech VR when held horizontally, the camera records in binocular mode and when held vertically, it records in monocular mode. Also, the recording can be immediately uploaded to social media at an instant after being viewed.
Song HunJoo, CEO of TwoEyes Tech said: “We are planning to revamp our product name for a more global audience once we start mass producing and selling the cameras. The challenge we are facing now is to create a quality product that functions well and is easy to use.”
However, the pricing and availability has not yet been officially revealed about the product as company has recently managed to secure investments through Kickstarter campaign.
