Truecaller Integrates with Cyanogen OS, Roll Out Soon.

Truecaller is well known for its application which identifies telemarketers or spammy numbers has now made a big move. On May 7, it made an announcement of a Global Partnership with Cyanogen OS. The users will now be able to identify calls via caller ID and block or ignore unwanted numbers directly from its native dialer.

In order to capture the market share of Android by Google, Cyanogen has also teamed up with Microsoft. Because of which, Cyanogen OS phones will integrate Microsoft’s Bing, OneDrive, OneNote, Skype, Outlook and Microsoft Office in order to provide a new class of experiences.

The new dialer which will be announced on Cyanogen will consists of the best of the Lollipop features including contact cards, heads-up notifications and material design along with its typical services like blocking unwanted calls and reporting negative spam. Users will be able to access Truecaller data across the entire dialer which will include call logs and contact cards that can be edited or flagged at any point.

The official blog of Cyanogen OS states that like any other app, the users have the choice to use it as per their preference. For phones running Cyanogen OS like the Yu Yureka, you can expect the software update to roll out in few months. The company said that the Truecaller integration will come pre-loaded in the upcoming Cyanogen OS devices like the Yu Yuphoria.

Although we see no reason for its users to uninstall it, the company has given the users the option to uninstall it, if they wish. Also, as every user would like to have the caller ID facility and coming directly pre-loaded will be a good thing. Since that would spare the user from time that would require to go through third party apps to select and which third party dialer to install.
