Sony a5000 Interchangeable Lens Camera Unveiled [CES 2014]Sony today unveiled the interchangeable lens camera, the Sony a5000 at CES 2014. The company claims the camera to be the world’s lightest interchangeable camera as it weighs less than 8 ounces. The Sony α5000 features a 20.1MP APS-C sized sensor and the next-generation BIONZ X processor, the same processor used in the Sony α7 and α7. The BIONZ X processor uses detail reproduction, area-specific noise reduction and diffraction reducing technologies to provide extremely fine color textures and low noise in pictures. The Sony α5000 allows users shoot at extremely high sensitivity up to ISO 16000 for providing impressive pictures in fading light.

Along with the built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, the Sony a5000 features an LCD display that can rotate up to 180 degrees and a 16-50mm motorized zoom lens. It also offers quick and easy access to Picture Effects, which includes popular modes like Pop Color, Selective Color, Toy Camera and Miniature Mode. Using “Photo Creativity” mode, professional photographers can learn and experiment creative things. The Sony a5000 will be available in three colors: black, white and silver, and will launch in March at a price for $600. Along with the Sony a5000 launch, the Sony E 55-210mm zoom lens will be launched ta the same time at a retail price for $350. Stay tuned for more updates.
