ZTE Open, the Firefox OS Device now exclusively available on eBay for $80
ZTE Open, the Firefox Mobile OS device which was announced in this year’s Mobile World Congress is now exclusively available for sale on eBay for $80. During the announcement, Mozilla said that they would be partnering with many handset makers so that the handset is powered by their Firefox Mobile OS. However, ZTE Open is not the first phone to feature Firefox Mobile OS, the Geeksphone Keon and Peak which was also announced this year sold out in a minute when they went for sale.
As far as specs of ZTE Open is concerned, the device sports a 3.5-inch 320 x 480 pixel display,a 3 MP rear-facing camera, a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB of internal storage, microSD support for up to 32GB and a 1200mAh battery.
Well, the device has been made available in Spain since its launch, but there is a good news for those people in the United States who are looking for low-end smartphones as the device is now available on sale at eBay store costing $80. That price is very cheap in terms of smartphones. Also, the device is cheaper when compared to Keon and Peak. So, those who are interested in getting hands-on the ZTE Open, they should know that this ZTE device is a GSM phone that supports AT&T ‘s network. But if you are a T-Mobile subscriber, then you will be able to get 2G speed.
