Huawei Tron Android Gaming Console Announced [CES 2014]
Huawei, the Chinese company unveiled the new addition to their devices with their own Android-based gaming console, the “Tron” at this weeks International Consumer Electronic Show 2014 in Las Vegas. The Huawei Tron Android based gaming console sports a Nvidia Tegra 4 processor with 2GB of RAM and an option for 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. Apart from low price, the Huawei Tron can even be able to play games available on other platforms, including PS3, PC, NDS titles.
Though the Huawei Tron’s controller appears identical to the Microsoft Xbox controller, but comes with a large touchpad in the center of the the device. The Huawei Tron has got the taste of Google’s Android 4.2.3 Jelly Bean as the operating system and sports a 1080p Full HD output via a HDMI connection, along with the Ethernet connection for wired gameplay.
The Huawei Tron Android gaming console is shaped cylindrical and will be available in black or white color, which goes same to controllers too. Other features includes the wireless connectivity such as 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connection. The device also comes with a full-sized USB 3.0 port and a standard 3.5mm audio output jack for headphones.
For now, the Huawei Android gaming console is only available in China at a price of $120 or less. There are no words about the consoles worldwide availability yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
