iMacompanion Brings A USB Port Access To Front Of Your iMac
If you are an iMac user, then you must be aware of the fact that the USB ports of the iMac are on its rear-side. This seems to be good when you are connecting certain USB devices such as printer or a hard drive, so that they stay connected to your iMac. But there are certain instances when the USB slot can be problematic especially when you are connecting your USB flash drive or your camera for sharing photos, videos and more, and therefore, accessing such devices can be a bit of hassle at times.
However, it seems there is a gadget called iMacompanion will help you in solving your problem. The iMacompanion solves the problem by bringing a USB port to front of your iMac. The iMacompanion is a USB 2.0 extension that is made out of sandblasted and anodized aluminum to seamlessly integrate itself at the foot of the iMac. Also, the cable which passes under the foot of the iMac is ultra-slim (about 0.01-inch/0.25mm), which allows cable to easily install and keep your desk clutter free.
The iMacompanion is also compatible with Apple’s Cinema Display screen and other devices, where its difficult to reach USB ports in the back. To know more about the iMacompanion, check out the video below:
The project at present is on the Kickstarter website, so that they get funded for mass production. The project has already raised almost $11,000 and 29 more days left to go, and once the project completes, the iMacompanion will arrive at retail stores at a price of $39. Isn’t it a good device for an iMac user? What do you think? Stay tuned for more updates.
