Windows Phone 8.1’s “Action Center” Will Support 20 Notifications Per App
Well, we are already aware of the fact that Windows 8.1 will feature an “Action Center”, which is a centralized notification center to Microsoft’s mobile OS and now according to recent reports, the “Action Center’ which will be arriving on Windows Phone 8.1 is expected to support up to 20 notifications per app.
However, there were lots of leaks of the upcoming update to Windows Phone, but now it seems that this particular functionality to the “Action Center” has been found out through numerous of APIs. The report mentions that users can look up to 20 notifications from a single app. If the notifications are persistent, then they visible for up to 7 days. Not only that, user can also take he route of tapping to open the app, which sends the notification, dismiss a single notification, or a group of notifications.
On the developer side, they will be provided with the ability to send, remove, replace, group or tag the notifications. Apart from that, developer can also set expiry periods for the notifications and use ghost notifications as a part of testing purpose. It seems that Microsoft will officially make this update available at BUILD Conference, which will be taking place sometimes in the month of April, so readers stay tuned with us to catch back more information about it.
