Samsung Announces 7-inch Galaxy W Android Smartphone
There were rumors that Samsung is working on a 7-inch Android smartphone and it seems that its finally here. Samsung has recently announced a new Galaxy W (also called Galaxy Wide) with a 7-inch display. Well, Samsung already had a Galaxy W in past but this 7-inch Galaxy W is the latest to be announced.
As far as specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy W features a 7-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage which is expandable using a microSD slot. Other specifications include 8MP rear-facing camera to capture photos and record videos, 2MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfies, LTE-A support and a 3,200mAh battery.
However, Samsung Galaxy W doesn’t come with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat but instead has got the taste of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Samsung Galaxy W weighs 245g and comes with a faux leather and stitch design, Split View, Multi Window, Pop Up Play and many other features. Samsung Galaxy W will be available in three colors: black, white and red and will cost 499,400 won ($490).
However, the latest Galaxy W will be available in South Korea, there are no informations about other regions such as the United States and Europe yet. So, stay tuned with us for more updates and we will let you know as we get more info about the new Galaxy W.
