Acer Announces Their First Windows Phone 8.1 Smartphone, The Liquid M220 [MWC 2015]
Acer has recently unveiled a new mid-range smartphone, the Liquid Jade Z and it seems they are arrived with more bunch of devices at MWC 2015 in Barcelona. This time, Acer has announced their first Windows 8.1 OS powered smartphone, the Liquid M220 at MWC 2015. Unlike Liquid Jade Z mid-range specs, the Liquid M220 comes with decent specs and affordable price. The Acer Liquid M220 features a 4-inch display with 233 ppi resolutions and a Sophisticated surface texture design on the cover inspired by Thai Silk material.
“With the launch of the Liquid M220, it’s great to see Acer expanding its portfolio of Windows devices to include smartphones,” said Peter Han, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, OEM Division, Microsoft. “Together we are providing an integrated, cross-device Windows experience to our joint customers.”
On the camera side, the Acer Liquid M220 features a 5MP rear-facing camera with autofocus and 89 degree wide-angle lens that allow users to fit more of the scene into the photos. With Windows Phone 8.1, users can get support of various Microsoft applications and services such as OneDrive, Skype, Office and also, Cortana. The Liquid M220 is easy to personalize, customize and provide seamless integration across devices, and it is also compatible with their latest announced Acer Leap smart wearables.
