SanDisk 64GB Connect Wireless Flash Drive Unveiled [CES 2014]
SanDisk today unveiled the 64GB Connect Wireless Flash Drive in the Consumer Electronic Show 2014, which was an upgrade to its previously available 32GB announced last July. SanDisk 64GB Connect Wireless Flash Drive is a thumb-sized device like a keychain that takes a microSD card and form a WI-Fi network. This USB peripheral will offer users an additional options when it comes to expanding their wireless memory connectivity to their range of mobile devices.
The 64GB Flash Drive can connect up to eight devices and stream up to three simultaneous playback streams with no Internet connection required. The 64GB Wireless Flash Drive can send/receive from a mobile to a tablet or any other device, and the network used while send/receive data is encrypted by standard Wi-Fi protocols and thus kept secure. Apart from that, the recently released software updates will also be able to further enhance the performance and functionality of both the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive and Wireless Media Drive.
This device was previously available with a maximum of 32GB. Basically, it works as a memory expansion device when a smartphone or other device has reached its storage capacity. With the help of SanDisk Connect Flash Drive, user can wirelessly stream and store content on the device. The Flash Drive has 4 hours battery life and is rechargeable via USB interface.
