Samsung Galaxy TabPro Series Officially Announced [CES 2014]
Samsung today unveiled a series of new tablets along with the Galaxy NotePro called as the Samsung Galaxy TabPro at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. The Samsung Galaxy TabPro series comes in different sizes (12.2, 10.1, 8.4-inch) and appears identical to the Galaxy NotePro. Like the Galaxy Note Pro, the Galaxy TabPro (12.2) features a 12.2-inch WQXGA Super clear LCD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, along with the two version: Exynos 5 Octa processor (for Wi-Fi) and Snapdragon 800 chipset (for LTE), while the only lack of difference is the S Pen functionality which is not present in the Galaxy TabPro(12.2).
The Samsung Galaxy TabPro 10.1 comes with a 10.1-inch WQXGA Super Clear LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, while the Galaxy TabPro 8.4 features a smaller 8.4-inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. Its good to see that Samsung is providing the same resolution to all the displays. Both Galaxy TabPro 10.1 and 8.4 is powered by the same Exynos 5 Octa processor (for Wi-Fi model) and Snapdragon 800 chipset (for LTE model), along with the 2GB of RAm, 16/32GB internal storage with the memory expansion up to 64GB using the microSD support and the taste of Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
Other features such as the connectivity which includes WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/acCH Bonding, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and GPS + GLONASS support. As far as battery is concerned, the Galaxy TabPro 10.1 features a Li-ion 8,220 mAh battery while the Galaxy TabPro 8.4 comes with a 4,800 mAh battery. Stay tuned for more updates.
