Parents are always worried about their child and their love is expressed properly when they are sick. At CES 2017, Blue Spark Technologies has recently introduced a new wearable bluetooth patch called TempTraq that monitors human body temperature continuously for 48 hours. Developed to help parents care for sick children, TempTraq continuously senses, records and sends body temperature up to 48 hours to the connected mobile device.
TempTraq has been designed to provide real-time temperature alerts to your mobile app when the body temperature reaches a pre-determined, user set temperature level. It adds the value by displaying both real-time as well as historical temperature data transmitted from the patch in graphical or tabular format, and thus allowing caregivers to see the fluctuations and be alerted for treatment when needed.
So, you might be thinking how to use it? Well, user need to follow some simple steps: download the TempTraq app in your mobile device and then press the “start” button to activate the temperature monitor and then just attach the wearable patch to the underarm of the patient or the person whose temperature you need to monitor. Since, the patch is a wearable bluetooth patch, there is a limit to track the patch as the caregiver can review data and receive alerts withing range of up to 40 feet away. Different colors in the app signifies the body temperature levels such as Green indicates less than 100.4°F, Orange indicates equal or greater than 100.4°F and red indicates equal to or above the user-set temperature alert level. Also, TempTraq gives the ability to securely send the monitored data to doctors or any concerned member via email. And if you are thinking TempTraq just tracks ones body temperature, then you will be pleased that users can also keep track of when the patient eats, drinks or have medicines. TempTraq app is compatible with both Android as well Apple devices. This new TempTraq Patch for 48 hours will be available for purchase from Q1 2017 and will be priced at $24.99. Now, parents can have peace of mind longer, when they need it most. Stay tuned for more updates.
