Sony Walkman NW ZX1 And NW F880 Announced
If you are looking for one such device, then here’s a news for you as Sony has recently announced a collection of Android-powered media players i.e the Walkman NW ZX1 and NW-F880. This two device adds to the breed of Sony media players having a combination of audio quality for which the Walkman brand is known for and the taste of the Android platform.
NW – F880 and NW – ZX1
The NW-F880 is a successor to the Sony’s lineup of F-Series media players and will arrive in three flavors varying storage i.e. 16GB, 32Gb and 64GB and will sport a better quality of 24 bit/192 kHz for formats such as FLAC and WAV, which seems to be higher quality when compared to MP3. The NW-F880 series has a hardware buttons on the side of the device which features playback control, allowing you to adjust playback without looking at the screen.
On the other side, the Sony Walkman NW-ZX1 will be seen as a high-end media player. The NW-ZX1 will feature the same audio formats as supported in the F880, but will reduce some features to get a highly better audio quality. The features such as FM radio and even digital noise cancellation are removed in order to avoid external audio interference. The NW-Zx1 also features a large capacitor with a built-in headphone amplifier and will arrive with 128GB of storage. The NW-ZX1 sports a 4-inch display with screen resolution of 480 x 854 and will be powered by dual-core 1.0 GHz OMAP4 Cortex-A9 processor along with the taste of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. However, there is no processor mentioned for ZX1.
Both the devices will support connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC for ease pairing with speakers. As far as pricing is concerned, the Nw-F8880 will be priced at $274, $304 and $405 for 16GB, 32Gb and 64Gb respectively while the NW-ZX1 will arrive with a higher price of $760. Both the device will be available in Japan on October 19, though there is no mention for international availability.
