Microsoft India has recently released a new safety app called as Guardian for Windows Phone users to provide safety to people in India especially women in times of emergency. Guardian acts like the watch and allows selected parties track your movement and alert them in times of danger. Guardian uses Microsoft Windows Azure cloud solution and the Bing Maps API for tracking movements and other services.
The app is now available for download for free in Windows Phone Store and though the app has been released exclusive for India, others too can download the app and use it. The Guardian app allows you to add multiple friends or family members to their list, all of whom will alerted during emergency situations.
The app features a one-touch video activation that will allow users to record footage which could act as an evidence, track your movements. It also has Live Tile support which gives quick access to the SOS button. In order to use the app, users have to register the app with your Windows Phone Live ID and from their users can add specific individuals or Facebook groups as members in times of emergency.
Guardian app acts as an easy way to reach out to your family/friends/colleagues when you feel like you are in trouble. So, please go ahead and download this app. Stay tuned for more updates
