CyanogenMod Releases GalleryNext App
CyanogenMod is the most popular Android ROMs that is used by a billions of people all over the world which ensures that Android devices gets a better taste. These Android based ROMs offers features and options that are not found in the official firmware distributed by mobile device vendors. Not only that, the CyanogenMod releases are often provided on nightly, milestone and “stable version” schedule, and it seems they have something new to offer this time too. Well, this time CyanogenMod introduced GalleryNext on the Google Play Store, a beta application that seeks to upgrade the built-in image gallery shipped with the AOSP ROMs.
The CyanogenMod team developers however did mention that the AOSP Gallery which are shipping with their ROMS are currently lacking certain features, and for this reason, they are launching the GalleryNext. As mentioned before, the GalleryNext is available as a beta application and brings lot of improved features such as users can now view all pictures in one centralized locations and can provide cloud services integration with Flickr, Picasa (G+), Facebook and Dropbox.
It also brings the moments support such as automatic grouping and classification of media based on metadata. GalleryNext also has the video playback and GIF support, and also the deduplication in ‘All’ view and more. CyanogenMod’s GalleryNext will soon be receiving other features such as Android 4.4 KitKat’s immersive mode UI implementation and editor support.
