After lots of rumors and leaks, Samsung finally unveiled the highly-anticipated Android phone of the year, the Samsung Galaxy S5 at the Unpacked event in MWC 2014 held at Barcelona. Though Samsung Galaxy S5 packs the similar design of the last year’s flagship, but there seems to be a lot of improvement in terms of hardware as well as software.

Samsung has designed the Galaxy S5 with innovative features that matters the most for the customers and making it an ultimate smartphone when it arrives in market. Unlike the previous devices, the Galaxy S5 doesn’t feel too much plastic in terms of design. The Galaxy S5 display screen comes a little bit bigger than the Galaxy S4, sporting a 5.1-inch FHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Samsung offers more brighter and clear display than its predecessor in the Galaxy S5.
Nowadays, people desire the most to capture the special moments through their smartphones and that’s the reason which has led the mobile manufacturers to come with more and more improved performance in terms of smartphone’s camera. It seems Samsung has introduced a lot of improvement in camera of the Galaxy S5, including the Auto-Focus and exposure. Since, there is increase in health-tracking wearable device, Samsung has brought the feature in the Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 comes with preinstalled S-Health 3.0 app, which help users tracks personal fitness. The S-Health app comes with personal-fitness tracking tools including the pedometer, diet and exercise records, and a new, built-in heart rate monitor. The world’s first heart-rate monitor for smartphone works with the help of the camera LED flash.
Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a new fingerprint scanner, that provides a secure and biometric screen and also safe mobile payment experience to users. The Galaxy S5 also let password protect files and text messages with the fingerprint.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a 2,800mAh battery (larger than 2,600mAh of the Galaxy S4), which means the 20% more battery power than its predecessor. Also, there are many software optimization inside the device to improve the battery life. The Galaxy S5 comes with an Ultra Power Saving Mode feature turns the display to black and white, and shuts down all the unnecessary features to minimize the battery consumption. This seems to be a good feature especially when your battery is about to die.
