Overview:
The HyperX Fury replaces the HyperX Blu memory lineup and falls in the mid of HyperX Predator and other Genesis RAM models. HyperX Fury is a new, next-generation high-performance memory which offers automatic overclocking with an asymmetric, aggressive heatspreader design for the ultimate cost-efficient enthusiast computer experience. HyperX Fury DDR3 RAM kits offers a speed in range from 1333MHz to 1866MHz frequencies which itself is enough to target many enthusiast.
Kingston has packed the HyperX Fury inside an easy to open plastic case which keeps the RAM sticks safe. It comes along with a manual and a powered by HyperX sticker. The model used for testing is HX318C10FBK2/8. As specified in specs, both the RAM stick comes with lifetime warranty and free technical support which itself indicate that it will be worth to look forward for this RAM.
Kingston HyperX Fury is a “Gaming RAM”
The HyperX Fury is more a gaming RAM. Well, you might be thinking what’s difference between a gaming RAM and an ordinary RAM. Gaming RAM offers smooth performance for your daily application usage and doesn’t affect the system performance. So, if you think that a regular RAM offering a speed of 1333MHz or 1600MHz is same as the one offered by a gaming RAM, then you are slightly mistaken as gaming RAM are completely different in terms of performance and thanks to Kingston, the HyperX Fury falls in the range of gaming RAM.
Design:
Kingston HyperX Fury RAM comes in four separate colors: Red, Black, Blue and White along with a RAM size of 8GB or 16GB. The asymmetric heat-spreader design on top gives a visual bling which makes RAM more interesting. The asymmetric heat-spreader keeps the RAM cool even on extreme usage.
HyperX Fury offers “Automatic Overclocking”
The most notable feature of Kingston HyperX Fury RAM is “Automatic overclocking”. If you are a user who finds it difficult to overclock your RAM by manually making settings on CPU, then this is the RAM you should look for as the HyperX Fury automatically overclocks when needed.
Installation and Testing:
You don’t need to think much while installing this DDR3 RAM as you have to just add your RAM stick on the motherboard slots. As the RAM kit we have used for testing comes with two memory sticks, so we have added the two RAM stick on the motherboard slots.
Test System:
Motherboard | Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 |
RAM | 8GB (2x4GB) Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 RAM |
Processor | AMD FX-8350 4Ghz 8 Core (AM3+) |
Graphic Card | Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB |
Hard Disk | Seagate 1TB Internal Hard Drive |
Operating System | Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit |
System Output:
Well, the system output is just amazing. After testing we found out that, the Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 provide an impressive performance in terms of memory copy, read and write speed including the memory latency.
Memory Copy | 10760MB/s |
Memory Write | 7415MB/s |
Memory Read | 10909MB/s |
Conclusion:
If you are in search of RAM in market and considering following factors such as price and performance, then Kingston HyperX Fury is the RAM you should look forward for. Well, the testing itself claims that Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 1866MHz which i received, offers great performance with the auto overclocking feature. The PnP feature ensures that you don’t need to worry about timing and speed, the HyperX fury itself does the work. However, as mentioned before it is a gaming RAM and not a regular RAM, so you need a motherboard that has RAM support of 1866MHz RAM else your result will be limited. The Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 RAM kit is available at a price of Rs. 5,400.
