Bing App for iOS Now Lets Search Pictures With Your Camera
Microsoft have recently updated their Bing app for iOS and the app seems now to have some extended useful functionality, allowing users to search on web by taking a photo from your smartphone. This feature has been released exclusively for iOS app and has not yet arrived on Windows Phone or Android Devices. This feature appears to be similar to Google Goggles where the app identifies the place or an object just by taking picture. However, the Goggles doesn’t offer full-fledged search and hasn’t been updated since 2014.
So, you might be thinking that how will this feature work in Bing app? Well, if you are in search of some kind of object, then you can take a picture of that object through the app and then crop the part which you want Bing to search for you. Not sure about how well this image recognition technology works with this app, but would like to surely go ahead and have a test of it. So, if you are an iOS user and haven’t updated the app, then just head over to Apple’s iTunes App Store and download it.
