LG G Watch might not have impressed the customers as the Moto 360 did, but it seems that LG has come up with a new Android Wear smartwatch to compete Moto 360. LG has recently officially announced their new smartwatch, the LG G Watch R. The LG G Watch R comes with a 1.3-inc P-OLED (Plastic-OLED) display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and the display takes 100 percent of the watch round face. The G Watch R can resist in water up to a meter for up to 30 minutes and the display is clearly viewable in sunlight from any angle.
As far as specs are concerned, the LG G Watch R comes powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and a 410 mAh battery. Unlike G Watch, the LG G Watch R has heart rate monitor and some health and fitness apps which helps in tracking fitness. The G Watch R also features 9-Axis (Gyro/ Accelerometer/ Compass), Barometer and comes with IP67 rating which makes it dust and water resistant and the latest Google’s Android Wear as the operating system.
This new smartwatch will be showing off at IFA 2014 next month and according to LG, the G Watch R will go on sale in fourth quarter. However, there are no details on pricing yet. Well, both Android Wear smartwatches, the G Watch R and the 360 will be showing off in IFA 2014 next month, but it seems that the G Watch R will surely beat Moto 360 in terms of design.
