Well, Microsoft has today rolled out a new version of Skype desktop client for Mac as well as for Windows Preview users. This new update brings a redesigned UI with more easier chat and share experience, bug fixes and more improved features. Irrespective of whether you are using Skype on your mobile device or on your desktop PC, you will find thumbnail pictures of your Skype contacts, a new bubble-style chat design and a consistent icons for chat, video calls as well as audio calls.
The new features brings improved chat experience, which includes photos in your Skype for Windows and Mac are beautifully displayed for instant viewing and Windows users can see more spacing between contacts and chats, along with message previews for unread chat messages and thus, making it easier for users to follow conversations. The update also allows users to share files such as Office documents and PDFs and relevant icons of each files indicate the type of files in your chat history.
Mac Users can now also chat and call simultaneously, which means users can multi-task on a voice or video calls. For example, a user can share messages, photos, files as well as other conversations, without leaving their call. The new update also allows free group video calls, which seems to work better with both the Mac and Windows versions of Skype.
