Xiaomi Redmi 3s Officially Announced With Fingerprint Sensor

Xiaomi has recently announced a new successor of the Redmi 3, the Redmi 3s. The Redmi 3s comes with more enhancements as compared to its original version including the fingerprint sensor. Well, Xiaomi has made a good move by introducing the biometric security to mid-ranged smartphones, rather than limiting to only high-end smartphones. As far as specs are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi 3s comes with 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1,280×720 pixels and powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.

The Redmi 3s will be available in two variants: one featuring 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage while the other featuring 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. On camera side, there is a 13MP camera on the rear-side with f/2.0 aperture along with Flash and a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture for better selfies and video chats.

Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE support and a 4,100 battery. As far as pricing is concerned, the 2GB RAM variant will retail at a price of $106 and the 3GB RAM variant will retail for $136. Stay tuned for more updates.
