New Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Announced [CES 2017]
Like ThinkPad X1 Carbon, Lenovo had also arrived with another improved laptop in the ThinkPad X1 lineup at CES 2017, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga. Although the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga appears to be similar to the latest ThinkPad X1 Carbon, it adds a convertibility, multi-mode flexibility, high performance functionality, a digitizer pen and an impressive OLED display. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga comes with a toughness such that it had been tested against 12 military grade requirements and passing more than 200 quality checks.

Lenovo claims the ThinkPad X1 yoga 2017 to be the first laptop featuring OLED display which is about 14-inch and provides impressive viewing with vibrant colors, dazzling images and speedy response time. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga comes in three display options which includes the IPS LCD FHD 1080p display for better battery life, the WQHD IPS LCD display for displaying high-resolution photos and improving text reading comfort and the WQHD OLED display that offers not only 100% Adobe RGB color reproduction but also infinite contrast ratio and true black color.
The X1 Yoga 2017 is configured with the latest Intel 7th generation processor, 16 GB DDR3 RAM and the Intel’s Iris Graphics delivering amazing performance over Intel’s HD graphics. The Lenovo X1 Yoga 2017 is designed to operate in 4 different modes such as Laptop, Tablet, Stand or in a Tent mode. Apart from being a convertible notebook, the major difference between the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2017 and the ThinkPad X1 Yoga is the digitizer pen. The digitizer pen uses a soft elastomer tip and with bigger friction on glass, the pen brings a more natural writing experience to users.
Well, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2017 weighs 3.3 Lbs and is heavier than the X1 Carbon 2017(2.5Lbs). Also, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2017 comes with the latest Thunderbolt 3 for faster data transfer. Other ports configuration includes 2xUSB C, 3xUSB 3.9, HDMI, native RJ45, microSD, microSIM slot, along with a full-size USB (Type-A) port. On the security part, it features same security features like the X1 Carbon such as fingerprint sensor, Infrared (IR) camera for face-recognition.
